Advent by Candlelight

All women are invited to Advent by Candlelight, an evening of music, devotions, fellowship, and dessert. Sunday, Dec. 7, at 6:00pm. $10. Hostess sign-ups and ticket sales run Nov. 2-23. Child available for birth through age 5: $3/child or $5/family.

Holiday mission opportunities

Check out these ministry opportunities for Thanksgiving and Christmas:

  • Heifer Project Int'l. - Donate to help impoverished people become self-sufficient
  • Angel Tree - Donate Christmas presents for children of New Mexico prison inmates, and volunteer to help with logistics of getting gifts to children

Blood pressure checks

Our Faith Community Nurses will offer blood pressure checks on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the SW corner of Fellowship Hall after both worship services.

Preschool gift basket raffle

On Sunday, Nov. 30, the preschool will have 5 gift baskets on display in Fellowship Hall: Jewelry, Cooking, Rainy Day, Holiday, and Spa. Place tickets in the basket(s) of your choice. $5/ticket or $12 for 3. Drawing during the preschool's Art & Dessert Night on Dec. 5 – need not be present to win.

Nativity display

Come view an incredible variety of nativity sets, and share your own (however humble or grand) with SPC and the community. Whether you have one set or 50 sets, please participate! Set-up will be Friday, Dec. 5, 5-8pm, or Saturday, Dec. 6, 9-11am. The exhibit will be Saturday, Dec. 6, 11am-8pm, and Sunday, Dec. 7, 8am-noon. (Members of the community are encouraged to share their sets as well.)

Parents' Night Out

Parents of infants through children in 5th grade can go Christmas shopping, wrap presents, go on a date, or attend a holiday work party! $10 minimum donation per child -- all proceeds go to youth missions and directly to help the youth who volunteer that night. Choir and orchestra musical

On December 14, our choir and guest orchestra will treat us to a special presentation of Three Gifts: Our Christmas Offering (by Randy Vader, Jay Rouse, and Rose Aspinale) at both services. Come for a moving musical experience.

Christmas play

"Bless All the Dear Children," a new musical play written by Faye Couch Reeves and Caitlin Reeves Millspaugh. Free and open to the community. Old and tired, All Saints School is falling apart, as is the faith of one of its students. Can the peace of the Christmas season restore both plumbing and faith? “Bless All the Dear Children” is full of the wonder of God’s great plan and of faith found. Sunday, Dec. 14, 6:30pm.

Christmas Eve worship schedule

4:00pm – Family service with candles. No childcare, but Cry Room will have service feed on TV.
7:00pm – Traditional service with communion and candles. Childcare for ages 0-5.

New Moms' Connection study

Moms’ Connection: A new study starts Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 9:15am. The group will study Esther by Beth Moore. Childcare provided for ages 0-5. Contact or call Karina Bell at 944.6108 with questions or to sign up. You can purchase the workbook on your own, or ask Karina to obtain it by Dec. 17.
