Youth Plant Sale
On Mother’s Day, May 10, our youth will team with East Central Ministries to hold a plant sale in the courtyard by the church entrance. There will be vegetable seedlings, hanging flower baskets, local honey, canned green chile, and more. Proceeds will support our youth program as well as East Central’s ministry to low-income folks in the International District. (Our recent urban farm service project helped make possible this plant sale, so we have a lovely circle of service.) Stop by the tables during 9:30am-noon, and pick up something lovely and local for Mom, or even for yourself!
Urban Farm Service Project #2
On Saturday, May 16, we will have another service project at Growing Awareness, the urban farm of East Central Ministries, which serves low-income residents of Albuquerque's International District. The workday will run 8:30am-noon. This final work day of the season will focus on clean-up and greenhouse close-down projects rather than planting seedlings. Click here for more information.
